No matter what the calendar says, no matter what the season is, every moment of every day our Saviour is gently beckoning … Come, follow Me.
Follow Him where?
The Bible says that God is love so perhaps the context is to Come, follow Jesus into love.
First, we are to love God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength. Perhaps we find that easier than loving our neighbour as ourself. Still, He asks us to put aside the difficulties we have with others so that we can see them as He sees them … sometimes poor in spirit, broken by the circumstances of life, straying for the lack of the Truth that heals and enables the old things to pass away.
Love … Jesus' love can comfort us, and heal us, and protect us as we walk through the circumstances of our lives.
The Bible’s ample evidence demonstrates that Come follow Me into the forever peace that passes all understanding is just one of God’s promises.
There is no need for any more words … just rest in the arms of God, sheltered under His wings, abiding in His peace. Amen
